Didier Bennert, Founder and Managing Director of Synthesix, combines extensive management consulting experience with a solid track record of CEO responsibilities in the technology sector.
He holds a Master of Management degree from the Solvay Brussels School – Université Libre de Bruxelles and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where he was a Fulbright- and a Georges F. Baker scholar.
His early career was spent in the marketing department of Procter & Gamble, the fast-moving consumer goods company. He subsequently spent more than 5 years at the leading management consultancy firm McKinsey & Company Inc., advising international companies on a wide range of strategic and organizational issues. He further enriched his consulting experience at The Boston Consulting Group.
In the position of Managing Director Benelux, Didier Bennert led the launch and development of eBay, the worldwide internet marketplace, in Belgium and The Netherlands. He was CEO of Montebi, a local leader in the watch and jewelry sector, owner of Rodania, a Swiss brand of watches. He later took the position of Chief Executive Officer of Emixis, a European leader in vehicles and assets tracking software, turned around the company and led its acquisition by the Viasat Group.
As CEO ad interim, he led Sonaca Aircraft, a subsidiary of the Sonaca-Group and manufacturer of single-engine aircrafts, where he remains a Non-Executive Director. And as CEO of ECHO Airport Services, a division of Yamabiko Europe, Didier Bennert led the development of a global robotic turf mowing services for airports.
